London University 3D printed languages threatened to prevent “societal disaster”
University College London’s project uses cutting-edge materials and architectural software to create 3D objects of endangered or threatened languages. The collaboration between the Anthropology and Architecture departments at the University of London models and 3D prints languages, including Amazonian Tariana, Kurdish, in order to highlight their complexity, importance as an intangible cultural heritage, and the threats they face.
