London university 3D prints threatened languages to prevent ‘societal disaster’



University College London has launched a project to 3D-print endangered languages. The project is using cutting edge materials, state of the arts architectural software and innovative materials. The collaboration between the Anthropology and Architecture departments at the University of London models and 3D prints languages, including Amazonian Tariana, Kurdish, in order to highlight their complexity, importance as an intangible heritage, and the dangers they face.
