Do Wholesale Flag Banners Have Warranty?

A flag banner wholesaler includes mounting systems like pole banner hardware and hanging hardware. They can also sell flag banners to protected market clients or at wholesale prices to all other clientele – usually businesses.

What is a flag banner wholesaler exactly?

In the US, wholesalers were companies that could specialize in one product or a small number of products, such as banners or outdoor flags, and would sell these products to resellers in certain markets. California, New York, and Georgia are “protected territories.” This means that if you were granted a contract by XYZ Banner Manufacturing to sell banners in Georgia, you cannot sell them to Californians or other states/territory clients.

Another company, like the fictional ABC Banner Company, could sell wholesale to anyone that can show them that they have a resellers permit. This license might be for a website that may sell nationally or globally. This client would have no restrictions on territory, and most of the products sold in the US today, even if they come from overseas, would fall under this category of wholesale seller.

This last category has been very popular in the past two decades. These companies sell “wholesale-to-business” to exclude most private buyers (consumers). These companies developed this kind of “wholesaling” to meet ever increasing prices in their markets. They source products offshore to supplement shrinking profit margins and to be opportunistic, forward-thinking resellers.

Wholesalers all sell below consumer prices levels. This is the basic definition of wholesaler. But as you can see, the business model is flexible and the businesses have the option to choose how to operate in this type market.

What is a warranty?

Wholesale Flag Banners do not usually come with a warranty. It is basically a promise that the banner will be replaced if it fails.

Is there a reason these items don’t have a warranty?

Because the seller doesn’t have control over how the banner is displayed or hung. If the banner is indoors, the seller won’t need a warranty.

If the banners are displayed/installed out-of-doors, all bets are off due to the sun, wind, and other inclement weather conditions that the manufacturer/wholesaler has no control over.

You can be sure to get the best quality banners and wholesale flags from a manufacturer that uses nylon webbing reinforcement in the hems and seams. This will make them resistant to inclement weather conditions. Although sunlight cannot stop and is the most common cause of banner degradation, it is possible to prevent this from happening.

Wholesaler License

How can you get a wholesaler licence? It depends.

For instance, our company distributes to various manufacturers that don’t issue wholesale contracts for protected territory, so we don’t need any licensing.

The “licensing” issued by a company to protect territories is not a government stamp of authorization saying your company is licensed wholesaler. However, as a company policy you would be approved as wholesale vendor for the company’s products/services.

Flag Banner Printing – Printing Method(s)

A few of our clients have inquired about printing flags and banners.

Unlike DTF (direct-to-fabric) printing, our printers use the “dye sublimation” printing method, which uses a CMYO dye set (that stands for Cyan-Magenta-Yellow-Clear) rather that the traditional CMYK (that stands for the same thing except the K is black whereas the O is clear, but they ultimately both end up black).

The banner flag is printed using a series small ink dots, which change with color saturation. Ink can be used on both fabric and vinyl banners.

But, dye sublimation printing is different.

Dye sublimation works in the following way: Using the CMYO set above, the digital printer prints a transfer sheet with the desired image. The paper is then matched to the appropriate sized polyester fabric. It can be any weight or finish, from knits to silks to light boxes fabrics to outdoor canvas. Finally, it is fed through heated rollers at around 400F and 400 lbs. to the pressure.

When the paper and fabric are placed in heated and pressurized rolling mills, the dye on the paper is converted to a liquid dye by the heat. The poly-fabric cells simultaneously open like flowers in the sun and the dye infuses it with color.

The process is closer to film development than digital printing. Heat and pressure combine to create a continuous tone, much like a photograph. Digital printing uses dots to simulate continuous tones. The dye has also become an integral part of the fabric and doesn’t sit on top like ink. However, the appropriate inks can adhere to fabrics well but in a different way and with a slightly lower quality printing.

Do wholesalers ship samples?

While I am unable to speak for other flag banner wholesalers I believe most will. We do.

It is difficult to imagine the different materials available if they are unfamiliar to you, so we would be remiss not to send samples to those who request them.

To most clients, we send twelve of our most popular fabrics. There are slight variations in the weight and finishes of the fabrics, but most clients find the right material from the dozen samples that we send.
