The Reed College Newspaper, the Quest Since more than 100 year, the Reed Student Voice has been the voice for Reed students, faculty and staff. Published every Friday morning Quest Coverage brings the latest Reed news online, through our app and in print.

Join our Team

The meetings are held every Monday in the afternoon. Quest The office (GCC 047) is a space below the cafeteria, which is filled with music and blankets, but constantly in danger of being buried under its own stacks of newspapers.

We’re always looking for new reporters to join the team, no experience required (really, we promise!In the fall of 2023, we will actively be seeking new feature writers.

Open Editing Nights

This is the QuestWe believe that transparency and openness are the most important values, so we welcome any member of Reed’s community to visit the Quest We will be putting the final touches to the paper on Wednesday evenings before we send it to the printer. Come and join our caffeine-fueled race to the finish. Learn about layout, copy editing, or just ask any questions. Quest We use a variety of editing processes.

Being a Quest reporter can be difficult, it’s true. We’ll ask you to drink more caffeine than is probably healthy, and chase that big scoop late into the night. When the Quediting Night soundtrack stops and the paper’s on its way, writing for a newspaper can be extremely rewarding. The Quest Students can be published and learn new skills while working with a journalistic team who is always looking for the next big news. We hope you’re excited to join us.
