Sun Chemical to show extensive range of digital inks at ITMA in Italy

Sun Chemical’s complete range of inks for digital textile printing, which are suitable for any type of textile, will be demonstrated at ITMA on June 8-14 at the Stand D302 located in Hall 5. In line with ITMA’s theme this year of ‘Transforming the World of Textiles’, Sun Chemical’s campaign for the show will focus on the company’s commitment to digital textiles, sustainability, and evolution.

Sun Chemical, following the acquisition in 2020 of the leading digital inks provider Sensient Imaging Technologies, has developed and launched a new range of inks for the main technologies of pigment, reactive and sublimation printing. The aim was to improve performance, sustainability and productivity. Sun Chemical will also be showcasing its range of dye inks.

Sun Chemical, an established provider of printing inks, coatings, and textiles inks in the United Kingdom will exhibit its full range of digital textiles inks in Milan from 8 June.
Sun Chemical, at Stand D302 of Hall 5, will be showcasing their innovative printing solutions on various textiles materials.

Sun Chemical will also be showcasing Xennia Amethyst Evo RC on its stand. This high quality ink is an evolution of Xennia Amethyst, and has been specially formulated in order to increase production, and allow customers to reach their high volume targets in the home textile and fashion industry without compromising the quality. The new formula has been designed to increase colour strength and efficiency while optimizing properties to enhance colour matching and colour management. The ink was certified as ZDHC 3 and Eco-Passport by Oeko Tex.

Xennia Sapphire is a series of digital inks that are designed specifically for textiles. Xennia Sapphire is initially available for high viscosity printers like Ricoh Gen 5 and Fujifilm Dimatix Starfire. It offers a new level of pigment printing performance with unmatched print stability and colour fastness. Xennia Sapphire aligns with Sun Chemical’s sustainability goals and has been developed to have a low impact with a no water process, efficient curing and soft hand fell to reduce the need for finishing chemicals. Xennia Sapphire Inks are also available for Kyocera’s printhead technology, allowing a full set to be compatible with digital textile printers.

Sun Chemical has launched its latest sublimation dye to combat printheads with higher viscosities, like those made by Ricoh and Dimatix. ElvaJet SR342 is based on in-house disperse dyes and delivers the purest colors, allowing for an extended color range. It also offers the best printer performance along with optimal drying and minimal upkeep requirements.

“Sun Chemical’s latest textile innovations have been formed with both a deep understanding of the textile market and extensive experience in digital printing ink development. We are also committed to providing innovative solutions that comply with the latest textile standard. We work with external testing houses to ensure our inks meet the exacting needs of market and brand standards to ensure our customers can be confident in every aspect of ink performance,” Simon Daplyn, product marketing manager, Sun Chemical, said.

“ITMA is the perfect place to showcase our technology and meet with customers from around the world to demonstrate the value Sun Chemical inks can bring to their business, all while ensuring product compliance and improving their sustainability credentials,” Edri Baggi, business manager for Sun Chemical’s Textile Inks Business, said.
